Just an Update

Last week I updated on my Twitter and Instagram and such that I would be making a YouTube channel.

Twitter: Who thinks I should make a YouTube channel and do funny & cool shit?

Instagram: I’ll be making a YouTube channel soon, so watch out for that!

…Or, at least, considering to do so.

Anyways, I’m still thinking about it but I’m curious what you guys would like to see.

I have my own ideas but I think it wouldn’t hurt to hear from you guys.

Just let me know through the comment section here or on any of my other social networking accounts!

I think it’s healthy for everyone to have a hobby.

But…not just any hobby…Something that’s TOTALLY different than what your general interests are. I feel like it helps people experience different aspects of life. Hopefully that didn’t come off as hippy-ish.

I was just thinking of what my next blog post should be about and I didn’t want it to be about something completely random/irrelevant. Eventually, I decided I should blog about my new hobby and what I’m currently doing with it.

If you follow me on twitter or instagram, you probably also know that I started making leather goods (i.e. handbags). Anyways, here’s the story of how it began…I was in Korea (not North obviously) and I had a lot of spare time on my hands. The life of an idol is always busy, except when you’re not promoting. After promoting the first album, I wanted to do something productive…other than working out and practicing.

First Creation

With the help of my mom and some other acquaintances I started learning how to sew, design, and all this other stuff so I can start making leather goods. The reason why I chose this was just random and since my mom used to be a designer she helped me out. After I got the hang of things I started designing some things on my own and now I’ve shared with you some of the things I made. Obviously, there were lots of other creations which were fails in between that time.

The point of this blog is to encourage everyone to try something new, even if you’re somewhat uncomfortable. It was difficult for me when I first started because I knew nothing about it. Now, it helps me relieve stress (not that I’m even that stressed out since it’s summer). The featured image is something I actually use, it’s a luggage carrier name tag. I always thought the one they give you at the airport is really inconvenient and it doesn’t even help you identify if it’s your bag from far away. The “designer” carrier name tags kinda seemed tacky so I decided to make one on my own.

I hope this might motivate some of you guys to try something new. I know it’s easier said than done, but I think (especially since it’s summer) its a good time to learn!

P.S: I read all of your comments so I appreciate it and if you have any suggestions for me about future blog posts that would also be great!

The most commonly asked question.

First of all, the picture is a little bit misleading because what I’m gonna talk about is the complete opposite of that.

Whenever I do fanchats or whenever I look at my twitter mentions or instagram comments, I’m often greeted by a variety of questions. However, there’s one specific question which is asked most frequently or, at least, garners the most attention: what are your plans?

What are my plans?

To be honest, I don’t know. I’m one of those people who does whatever the hell they feel like. Also, I feel like this is such a general question that it’s impossible for me to answer within 140 characters. I guess I always think of myself doing several things, but I don’t think I have one specific plan or goal in mind. Isn’t it the same with everyone? I’m sure, right now, as you read this, you have plans for numerous this: what you’re going to eat, how you’re going to dress tomorrow, who your panning to see on the weekend, when you plan to go to sleep, etc.

So I hope you get my point…everyone has plans.

For me, even though I don’t describe myself as a spontaneous person, I seem to do whatever the hell I feel like more so than others. A lot of my friends would describe me with the word “yolo.” Even though I don’t really like that word. For instance, I just randomly took a break from university cause I wanted to visit South Korea in 2010. Then I got offered to becoming a trainee in a company and I did it because I felt like it. The reason why I’m telling you these things is because if you asked me what my plans were in 2008, I would have probably told you it’s to graduate by 2015 and get a job in finance or something…and look where I am now. I’m still in school and did a whole lot of different shit in between.

Now, before this gets too long, I wanted to explain to you why I don’t like to tell people my plans. It’s mainly because different opportunities and different circumstances arise and totally throws all my plans out of the picture.

I can tell you right now that my plans are to graduate by 2017. I can also tell you that I have other aspirations like designing and music.

All I will say for now…is that slowly, but surely, you will see the things I have been working on…
